Terms of use

1. About purchases and treatment

These terms apply to booking, purchases and treatment at Nūvai AB, company reg. no. 559583-6171, with its registered office in Malmö. Use of the website and digital services is governed separately by our terms of use.

By booking an assessment or receiving our treatments, you accept these terms.

The terms constitute an agreement between you and Nūvai. Please read them carefully. If you do not accept the terms, you should not use our healthcare services.

2. About our services

Nūvai is a private care provider registered with the Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO). We offer assessment, psychotherapy and precision therapy with treatment-enhancing additions in accordance with the Health and Medical Services Act and the regulations of the National Board of Health and Welfare.

Information on the website is of a general nature and does not constitute medical advice. Individual care always takes place after a clinical assessment by licensed staff.

3. Booking and payment

Bookings are made via our digital portal or after contacting the clinic. Prices are stated in Swedish kronor including any VAT and are shown in the price list at the time of booking.

Cancellations must be made no later than 24 hours before the booked appointment. In the event of late cancellation or a missed appointment, the full fee is charged according to the applicable price list.

4. Your responsibility as a client

In order for us to provide you with safe and meaningful care, it is important that you provide accurate information about your health, any medication and previous treatments. You also need to give informed consent so that we can validate your information in previous care documentation.

You are responsible for following the instructions you receive before, during and after treatment, and for contacting us if there are changes in your wellbeing.

5. Responsibility for care

Nūvai is responsible for care provided by us in accordance with Swedish health and medical care legislation.

6. Changes to the terms

We may update these Terms. The latest version is always published on our website. Material changes are communicated in advance via our portal or by email.

7. Applicable law and disputes

Swedish law applies to these Terms. Disputes shall primarily be resolved through dialogue with us. If agreement is not reached, the dispute may be tried by a general court in Sweden, with Malmö District Court as the first instance.

Answers to our most common questions.

Is esketamine treatment legal in Sweden?

Yes, esketamine treatment is legal in Sweden when prescribed by a licensed physician. Esketamine has been used medically for over 50 years and is an approved medicine. At Nūvai the treatment is administered under controlled conditions by qualified medical staff, in accordance with current regional guidelines.

What does the treatment cost?

Nūvai's goal is that precision therapy, with or without treatment additions, should be accessible to everyone who needs it. Today the treatment is paid for privately, but we are working towards being able to cover all or part of it through private insurers or health insurance (within the high-cost protection scheme) in the future. The cost varies depending on the treatment plan and individual needs. A digital screening call costs SEK 2,500. Ketamine-assisted therapy starts from 33,000 kr. We also offer the option to pay in instalments via Klarna. You are welcome to contact us for a personal and free cost estimate.

How many sessions are needed?

The number of sessions depends on the type of treatment, your needs and how you respond to it. The plan is followed up and adjusted continuously together with your therapist. For ketamine-assisted precision psychotherapy the model is inspired by international protocols where ketamine is usually given as a series of six infusions over about four weeks. Psilocybin-assisted therapy takes place abroad and usually involves 1–2 dosing sessions over a week, with time for local preparation and integration. Breathwork as a treatment addition is usually provided twice a week for four weeks, either at the clinic or online. The exact scope is always tailored to your situation, your goals and your response to treatment.

Can I continue with my current medication?

In most cases you can continue with your existing medication, but this is assessed individually by our physicians who are specialists in psychiatry and anaesthesia. Some medicines may need to be adjusted ahead of treatment, and sometimes it is desirable to taper off or change them afterwards. We help you with this if you wish. At the initial consultation our physicians review your full medication list and give concrete recommendations. Never make changes to your medication without consulting your care provider.

Can I be referred by my doctor or psychologist?

Absolutely. We accept referrals from other care providers and they can contact us directly by email at info@nuvai.se. You are also welcome to apply for an assessment yourself — a referral is not a requirement to begin treatment with us. Please be careful not to write personal data in emails to us.
