Research that develops us all
We are building a clinic from the start where research and practice evolve together — to optimise mental health through understanding, over time.
A clinic built on scientific curiosity
Research on precision therapy, psychotherapy and augmented treatment is developing rapidly. We follow it carefully — and contribute where we can — to continuously improve how we understand and treat mental ill-health.
From the outset, Nūvai has deliberately created an AI infrastructure that facilitates and streamlines the collection and analysis of data, both our own and that of other actors.

Current research collaborations
REAL-KET is a Swedish observational study from Lund University evaluating the effects of ketamine in various clinical settings. For more information;

Precision therapy
Precision therapy combines evidence-based psychotherapy with in-depth mapping, systematic follow-up and individual adaptation. Research shows that personally adapted interventions can produce better outcomes than standardised approaches, even though the field is still developing.
Ketamine-assisted therapy
Ketamine can provide rapid symptom relief in treatment-resistant depression. Research on ketamine combined with structured psychotherapy (KAP) is promising, but still developing. That is why we follow treatment outcomes systematically and adapt the approach to each individual.
Psychological flexibility
Psychological flexibility is about being able to meet difficult thoughts and feelings while acting in the direction of what matters. Research shows that greater flexibility is associated with better mental health, functioning and wellbeing.
Breathwork (Soma+IQ)
Soma+IQ comes from Somatic Breathwork and is a body-oriented method that combines guided breathing, somatic exercises and integration. The aim is to increase body contact, presence and emotional processing. Research on breathwork shows promising effects on stress and mental health, but the evidence is still developing.

Always evidence-based
Nūvai is passionate about making current scientific insights accessible in an ethical and responsible way.
Our goal is to make research comprehensible and useful — for other practitioners, clients, loved ones and the wider public alike.
Publications by Nuvai's team and advisors
